Ecem Candan, born in 2002 in İzmir, Türkiye, is an interdisciplinary artist. Her artistic journey began in childhood, and throughout her primary school years she received 11 awards in various art competitions. In 2020, she graduated from Işılay Saygın Fine Arts High School, where she had the opportunity to explore different artistic disciplines, particularly painting. After graduating from the Department of Fashion Design at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts, she was admitted with distinction to the Department of Sculpture at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts. She continues her artistic practice primarily through sculpture, relief, and painting. Her work explores themes of mythology, the human figure, memory, and transformation, bringing together traditional techniques with contemporary forms of expression. Since 2024, she has embarked on a new creative chapter, presenting her soulful works under the name Arte La Rossa.
